Teacher Training — Yoga Yard Dublin

JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2025

This training is primarily geared towards teachers and students that have already done a yoga training and would like to improve their skills and further their training or have yet to step in front of a class to teach (raise your hand if you are a ‘qualified’ 200 hour yoga teacher but do not feel confident to teach?). This training gets straight into preparing you to teach a class so that when you finish you will be ready to teach, and teach well. You will learn how to teach an effective class (easier said than done), how to structure a class (that makes sense), how to teach a sequence (this takes a lot of practise), how to get creative (but not get lost), and above all how to teach using functional language (not descriptive instructions but clear and precise, clean instructions!). Functional language is KEY when teaching yoga (or anything for that matter!).

We will incorporate & develop a breath work and meditation practice together, we will integrate yoga anatomy in how we can teach a room full of different bodies, we will touch on yoga philosophy and discuss how to go about being a yoga teacher in the world (where does one start as a new teacher). 75% of this course is practical (you will be doing!), learning how to teach, practising teaching, creating sequences and learning how to use functional language.

This training is anchored in the physical practice. It will require dedication and consistency in your own practice, not just during the training but before and after and forever more if you aspire to be a successful yoga teacher!

If you have never done a yoga training but are curious about teaching and would like to dive deeper in your own practice, you are welcome to apply and take part as an immersion.
